Probably best loved, best known and greatest verse in all the Bible is John 3:16. Depending on the translation, there are only 26 words to the verse Martin Luther called the miniature gospel. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

No other single verse in all the Scriptures encapsulates the central message of the good news of salvation that God offers to all people. It has been called has been called the greatest story ever told, a love letter from God written in blood, and the gospel in a nutshell.
