Have you ever felt like life is an endless cycle of repetition? The laundry gets folded, only to pile up again. The dishes are washed, yet tomorrow they will need cleaning once more. In the opening chapter of Ecclesiastes, the Preacher confronts us with this stark reality: “Generations come and generations go, but the earth remains forever.” When we view life solely from an earthly perspective, it can feel like we are chasing the wind\u2014futile and frustrating.<\/p>\n

Yet, within these verses, a profound question arises: If everything \u201cunder the sun\u201d is meaningless, where can true meaning be found? This is the dilemma \u201cThe Preacher,\u201d the writer of Ecclesiastes wrestles with in this twelve-chapter book of wisdom. He invites us to look beyond the transient to the eternal. His words challenge us to consider a perspective that transcends the monotonous cycles of life\u2014a perspective rooted in God’s eternal purposes.<\/p>\n

This week, we begin a new series where we will explore what it means to find hope and meaning, even amidst the ho-hum routine of daily life. By acknowledging life’s brevity and embracing God’s greater story, we can discover that our seemingly small moments are woven into something far more significant than we could ever imagine.<\/p>\n
