When God calls Moses to confront the Pharaoh and lead the Israelites out of bondage and into the Promised Land, he is anything but excited. In fact, his first excuse is: \u201cWho am I\u201d that I should be the one to take on this monumental task. God responds, \u201cI will be with you.\u201d\u00a0 But Moses isn\u2019t yet convinced.\u00a0 He rattles off another four excuses as to why he\u2019s not a good fit for the job, and that God should find someone else.\u00a0 But with each excuse, God has a timely reply. Finally, Moses takes the job, and God is indeed with him.<\/p>\n

Moses\u2019 encounter with God is not the only one like it we read about in scripture. Jeremiah, Isaiah, Gideon and others all gave reasons as to why they were not the best fit to answer God\u2019s call.<\/p>\n

How about you? Have you considered God\u2019s calling on your life? The Prophet Isaiah said, \u201cLord, here am I, send me.\u201d Jesus added, \u201cAs the Father has sent me, so I send you.\u201d<\/p>\n
