It’s been wonderful in recent weeks to watch the butterflies skipping across the tops of the flowers in our church prairie. Good thing Gretchen Smith’s window looks directly out on it and not mine; for I can be easily distracted. I often consider the transformation of a butterfly when reading Romans 12, our Biblical text for this week.
Join us this Sunday as we learn more about transformation in the life of the Christ follower. Followers of Christ are chosen and the Holy Spirit resides within us. We will unpack what it means to have God at work in us. Our minds must be transformed so He can place within us the ability to differentiate between God’s perfect way and the way of the enemy who seeks to destroy. As God works in us, we are equipped to go forth using the gifts He places in us to share the good news.
Sunday is also our Back to School Blessing Service. Students and school staff members will be invited to come forward to receive a blessing. We will have a photo booth and treat bags for kids and school employees.
