Do you ever get down or catch a case of the moody blues?  One of the things that has helped me when I feel that way is reading Psalms of thanksgiving. Martin Luther claimed Psalm 118 as his chosen Psalm. Verse 1 reads, “O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: his love endures forever.”  Luther once wrote of this Psalm, “It has saved me from many a pressing danger. It is my friend; dearer to me than all the honors and power of the earth.”

The Thanksgiving holiday is right around the corner. Praying prayers of gratitude—and specifically naming what you are thankful for—has tremendous effect.  To help you prepare, this Sunday at FaithPoint we’ll unpack the power of gratitude and the incredible impact it can have on your life. I hope you’ll join us in worship at 8:30 or 10:00 AM. Livestreaming available at 10am.
