Many years ago, there was a television show called To Tell the Truth.Three contestants each claimed to be a remarkable person who had done something extraordinary. Only one was genuine; the other two were imposters. A panel of celebrities asked questions and tried to figure out who was telling the truth — and money was won by fooling them.

That was just a game show. In real life, the stakes are much higher when it comes to discerning truth. When it comes to Jesus, each of us must decide: Was He telling the truth? Was He an imposter? Or something else entirely? How we read and interpret the Bible shapes how we answer those vital questions.

This Sunday we’ll continue our series, The Core Essentials of the Christian Faith, with part six: “How Should We View the Bible?” I hope you’ll join us for this important message as we explore why Scripture matters and how it reveals the truth about God and about us.
