Healthy things move. Hearts pump. Lungs breathe. Muscles stretch. When something living stops moving, it weakens. The same is true spiritually.

This Sunday we continue our Lenten series, Healthy Heart Habits, with Week 2: The Movement. The apostle Paul tells Timothy to “train yourself for godliness.” Not because faith is about frantic religious activity—but because healthy faith is active faith. It is exercised. Strengthened. Lived.

Left to ourselves, our hearts tend to curve inward. We settle into comfort. We consume more than we contribute. And stagnant faith slowly shrinks. But the gospel tells a different story.

In Matthew 28 and Acts 1, the risen Jesus speaks with full authority and makes a promise: I am with you. Before He sends His people outward, He anchors them in His presence. Movement flows from hope. Mission flows from assurance.

Spiritual fitness isn’t about busyness. It’s about joining Christ where he is already working. Healthy hearts move outward in love, witness, service, and courage because Christ first moved toward us in grace.

This Sunday we’ll ask: Where is Christ inviting us to step forward? Because self-focused faith weakens—but shared mission strengthens.

Bring your bibles this Sunday and let’s dig into what God’s word says together!
