Have you ever looked at what you have and thought, “This is not enough”?
Not enough time. Not enough energy. Not enough resources. Not enough to meet the need in front of you.
The disciples faced that kind of moment when thousands of hungry people gathered around Jesus. They saw five loaves, two fish, and a crowd that was far too large. The math didn’t work. But Jesus saw something different.
This Sunday we begin a new three-week series called “The Kingdom in Action” where we’ll see what happens when the grace of Jesus becomes tangible in the lives of real people. As we move through three very human experiences—hunger, fear, and exclusion—we’ll discover that Jesus is the answer.
Jesus provides. Jesus is present. Jesus welcomes.
We begin with the Feeding of the Five Thousand and a simple question: What happens when we place our limited resources into the hands of an unlimited Savior?
The disciples saw scarcity. Jesus saw an opportunity to reveal the abundance of God’s Kingdom. The miracle reminds us that what we place in Jesus’ hands is never insignificant.
