Transitions are rarely easy. They often come with a mix of gratitude, uncertainty, excitement, and even grief. Scripture is honest about that reality—and it also shows us how God works faithfully through seasons of change.
This Sunday we will witness and celebrate an important transition in the life of FaithPoint as Pastor Wes is installed as our next pastor. To help us reflect on this moment, we’ll look to the powerful story of Elijah and Elisha in 2 Kings 2—a story of preparation, trust, and the passing of God’s work from one servant to another.
The message will be given by Pastor Jason DeShaw. Jason is a pastor at North Heights Church in Arden Hills and Roseville, Minnesota. Jason is married to Kim and together they have three boys: Jonah (21), Elijah (18), and Silas (12). With 14 years in Youth Ministry as a base, Jason was ordained as a pastor in 2009 and still loves to see people young, old, and everyone in between experience Jesus and live lives steeped in Holy Spirit—filled purpose.
