During the month of June, Pastor Steve preached through the themes found in the book of Philippians. Around the same time that Paul wrote the letter to the people in Phillipi, he also wrote a very personal letter to Philemon in Colosse. This little book in the Bible is only one chapter in length but it really speaks to the heart of the Gospel. In its few verses, it centers on themes of forgiveness and restoration. It describes what freedom in Christ looks like for believers. On this weekend following the day of our national celebration of freedom, I look forward to sharing with you some key takeaways that I’ve learned in my study of Paul’s letter to Philemon about freedom and our identity in Christ.
