Women: Are you a reader? Are you interested in reading and discussing Christian authors? Join our book club here at FaithPoint. One book will be chosen for each month. We will rotate selections choosing from biographies, Christian living, and fiction and either gather on Zoom or at church at the end of the month. If you are interested contact Gretchen Havlicek (gretchen@faithpointlc.org) here at the church. Order books on your own in electronic or paper format or check out at the library.

  • Our February book is God’s Smuggler by Brother Andrew. This is a classic in Christian literature. The original version was written in 1967 and there have been several printings. As a teen in Holland, Brother Andrew worked alongside Corrie ten Boom in the resistance during World War II. As a college graduate, he started making trips behind the Iron Curtain, sneaking in Bibles, books, or whatever else was needed to further the gospel there. We will meet Thursday, February 25 at 7pm on Zoom to discuss.
  • Our March book is Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus: how the Jewishness of Jesus can transform your faith by Ann Spangler and Lois Tverberg. Our Lenten selection is a conversationally written book that will help us to understand Jesus’ time on earth with new insights. By seeing his world through the eyes of first-century Jews! We will journey back to ancient Palestine and explore the culture, customs, feasts, and prayers that shaped Christ and his disciples. As we read, we will discover how to enrich our own faith by gaining insight into the Jewishness of Jesus.
