Maybe you found a way to see the solar eclipse last Monday, even though in Minnesota it was mostly cloudy. The momentary darkness of a solar eclipse can serve as a reminder of just how important the light from the sun is to our lives. Jesus once said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

In the very next chapter of John, we hear about a man who was born blind that Jesus heals. Jesus turns his darkness and tragedy into light and changes his life forever. While some Pharisees and bystanders quibble over whose sin caused the man’s blindness or whether the man was really blind, the blindman is elated. He worships Jesus and is ready to make the most of his new life.

Join us this Sunday as we talk about how to make good when bad comes knocking on the door.
