There are certain laws that extend across almost all cultures and form a pattern.

In the movie “The Last Emperor”, a very young child is anointed as the Last Emperor of China. He lives a magical life of power and luxury with a thousand eunuch servants at his command.

One day his brother asks, “What happens when you do wrong?” “When I do wrong, someone else is punished,” the young emperor replies. To demonstrate, he breaks a glass jar, and one of the servants is immediately beaten.

In Christian theology, Jesus reversed this ancient pattern: The death of Jesus made it so that when the servants erred … the King was punished. No one ever expected God to die, but it was all part of his divine plan.

Join us this Sunday as we talk about why Jesus had to die. Our campus is located at 1051 270th St. W., New Prague. Sunday services are at 8:30 AND 10:00 AM. Live Streaming available at 10:00 AM.
