This Sunday we’ll celebrate Confirmation at an additional 2:00 pm. service on Sunday. We’ll hold our regular morning worship schedule at 8:30 and 10:00 am. As 28 young people make their public profession of faith, it’s also a good time for us to make or renew our faith commitment to God.
The Bible is filled with the theme of renewal. Revelations 21 says, “Behold, I make all things new.” Jeremiah wrote about the New Covenant that God was making with his people, one where God would “put his law in our minds and write it on our hearts.” The book of Colossians bids us that “if we were raised with Christ, then seek the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God” (3:1).
Wherever you are in your walk with Christ, I hope you will respond to the grace God extends to you by professing Christ as Savior, or renewing that commitment.
