Our Building

On November 21, 2011 we were able to sign all the papers that officially has FaithPoint Lutheran Church receiving the gift of our NEW BUILDING, as a GIFT from State Bank Building (their old building). Bruce Wolf, President of State Bank said it best as the donation papers were completed: “We wanted this building to go to a group that was from our community and a group that would make good use of it in the community.”

Even though we had been told this gift was coming, we were all stunned by the generosity and magnitude of this gift becoming a reality. It was hard to believe the entire property now belongs to our congregation. And it seemed like the words “thank you” were just not enough to express our gratitude to State Bank, the board of directors, and all who made it possible. It is a wonderful thing to have a church home, a base we can call our own, especially so early in the life of our church. In the end, it will be how we use the property that will be the true measure of the gift. So let us join together to clean it up, be good stewards of the property and use it for God’s good work in the community.

On January 29, 2012, we recognized Bruce Wolf and the State Bank of New Prague for the donation of the former State Bank building to the church. The building, located at 201 Central Avenue in New Prague, will be used by the church as a ministry center.

Volunteers have been working diligently to clean and restore the building and bring it up to code for use by the church. The building is currently being used for youth ministries, bible studies, meetings and office space.

“We wanted to gift this building to an organization that would put it to good use for the community. We are excited to see the energy and passion of your church,” said Wolf. “Much is given. Much is expected.”

“We have been so blessed. This has given us a base for our ministry,” said Pr. Trewartha. “We will be faithful stewards of the resources given to us.”

A plaque recognizing the State Bank is permanently displayed at FaithPoint’s Ministry Center.
